To perform this initial sonography, which is very similar to a gynecological examination, the doctor, after placing the speculum and opening the compact tissue of the vagina, lubricates the transducer of the ultrasound device with a small amount of gel and inserts it into the vagina. Meanwhile, the doctor can also do a color <a href=\"https:\/\/drpegahkeramati.com\/en\/advantage-and-disadvantage-of-3d-ultrasound\/\">Doppler<\/a> ultrasound.<\/p><p>The doctor will then perform a hysteroscopy as a more in-depth examination of the abnormalities and their potential causes. Because determining the location of some abnormalities, such as fibroids or polyps, can be effective for creating a better treatment or management strategy.<\/p><p>After the initial examination, the doctor removes the transvaginal probe and inserts a sterile speculum. Then the doctor cleans the cervix and places a catheter in the uterine cavity. Once the catheter is in place, remove the speculum and reinsert the transvaginal probe into the vaginal canal. Then, during the ultrasound, a sterile saline solution is injected into the uterine cavity through a catheter.<\/p><p>Hysterosonography is also known as sonography with injection of saline solution. For this reason, unlike conventional ultrasound, it can better detect abnormalities of the inner wall of the uterus. This fluid works strategically to separate the walls of the uterus from each other, making it easier to see abnormalities that may be hidden.
