Embryo transfer is one of the most critical stages in assisted reproductive techniques such as In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). To enhance the chances of successful implantation and pregnancy, it is essential to follow specific pre-transfer care guidelines. These include a healthy diet, stress management, proper medication use, avoiding harmful factors, and adhering to medical recommendations.
What to do before embryo transfer
Embryo transfer is done when the eggs are removed and fertilized in a specialized laboratory. This is done between the second and fifth day after the egg retrieval. Depending on the condition of the mother, between one and three suitable embryos are selected and transferred to the mother’s womb.
