Hysterosalpingography is an X-ray imaging procedure.

Basically, hysterosalpingography is used to observe the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes and investigate the cause of miscarriage. This machine uses a type of x-ray imaging called fluoroscopy that can create snapshots of the film. As a result, it becomes clear why the fallopian tubes are blocked in any way. Sometimes, the radiologist can open blocked fallopian tubes during imaging.

Cause of hysterosalpingography is mostly used to identify or correct blockages in the fallopian tubes.

To take a color image of the uterus, the radiologist first cleans the cervix and may also inject a local anesthetic to reduce pain. Then, a device called a catheter is directed into the uterus so that contrast material or dye is sent through the catheter into the uterus and fallopian tubes. Finally, the patient is transferred to the X-ray machine for imaging.

The cause of hysterosalpingography technique, which is used to diagnose complex uterine abnormalities and has no substitute. Gynecologists and obstetricians usually recommend it in conditions of excessive uterine bleeding, infertility, repeated abortions, etc.
